Trump Advisor Peter Navarro Heads to Prison

The law enforcement veteran and InVest USA founder discusses the historic sentencing.

Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro began serving his four-month sentence in Miami today after being convicted of contempt of Congress last year. But he did not go quietly, holding a press conference where he said “I will walk proudly in there to do my time. I will gather strength from this: Donald John Trump is the nominee.”

The problem began when Navarro refused to comply with a subpoena from the House committee investigating January 6th. On Monday, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts rejected the 74-year-old Navarro’s request to delay his time in prison pending his appeal.

In the long history of our country, Navarro will be the first former White House official jailed for contempt of Congress.

Joining us to discuss this breaking story is Michael Letts, InvestUSA founder and CEO with over 30 years of law enforcement experience. Officer Letts is calling for the government to give reparations for everyone who was falsely penalized for their January 6 free speech activities. Welcome to the program, Mr. Letts.

Q&A:

  1. Do you believe Navarro, who claimed executive privilege, had the right to refuse to testify before congress?
  2. What factors led to his arrest?
  3. Is this a purely political move on the part of the prosecution? Or is it justified?

  5. Is it unique or peculiar that the media still calls this an “attack” on the U.S. Capitol? Do you see it that way?
  6. Will this eventually work against the Jan 6th committee and the Democratic party? Will Americans see this as partisan?
  7. You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers across a number of programs. Tell us more about it.
  8. Where can we learn more about InVest USA, and how those interested can help their fellow officers?
