Mayorkas Impeachment Trial Is Moving Quickly – and Several Democrats May Finally Have To Face the Music

The law enforcement veteran explains how some Democrats face a “put up or shut up” situation when it comes to the Border crisis.

Less than two months after its initial run through the House, the impeachment trial of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appears to be finally moving forward – and may have some Democrats wondering the best way to handle it.

The House initially passed two articles of impeachment against Mayorkas back in early February, citing his poor handling of the Border crisis that has now reached critical levels in the United States.

Following the submitting of a letter by House Speaker Mike Johnson, the Senate now appears ready to oversee the case. However, with that, several Democrats may have to “face the music” when it comes to discussing the critical case.

That’s because, according to Fox News, several of these Democrats are up for re-election this year. And considering the poor handling of the Border crisis and everything surrounding it, they may find themselves under pressure to keep their jobs – and may need to flip on their beliefs with the Biden Administration just to save face for their re-election.

Several Republicans have already promised to pressure these Democrats, in an effort to possibly oust Mayorkas and put someone in charge that can handle the border situation.

Joining us now to discuss this matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. His knowledge in all things law and order make him a great guest on this subject. Welcome, Michael!
