As the Supreme Court Hears Trump’s Colorado Ballot Case, One Key Comment From a Chief Justice Is Making Waves

Law enforcement veteran Michael Letts discusses a recent comment by John Roberts that could turn the case in Trump’s favor.

Former President Donald Trump recently took a case to the Supreme Court in regards to his removal from Colorado’s state ballot. They noted they were invoking the 14thAmendment in terms of removing the former President, noting his reported corruption in the January 6th “insurrection.”

However, as decisions are still being made, Chief Justice John Roberts believes that the Colorado Voting Board doesn’t understand what they actually invoked.

“The whole point of the 14th Amendment was to restrict state power, right?” he asked in a recent statement. He believes Colorado is in “a position that is at war with the whole thrust of the 14th Amendment.” He feels that the Amendment was passed to hold back states’ rights and empower the federal government. But apparently, it’s “the last place you’d look for authorization for the states, including Confederate states, to enforce the Presidential election process.”

With that, does Trump have a case when it comes to being allowed on the ballot? Here to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships.

Letts’ expertise in all things law and order make him an ideal guest for this show. Welcome, Mr. Letts!

  1. First off, do you believe Trump has solid reasoning when it comes to arguing this case with the Supreme Court?
  2. Does everyone have a right to be on the voting ballot? Or should there be any limitations to this process?
  3. Why do you think Colorado’s voting board acted in such haste with removing Trump in the first place?
  4. What do you think about Roberts’ comments surrounding the 14th Amendment? Would you say that he’s spot on with his comments?
  5. As such, do you expect Trump to see a reversal, forcing Colorado to return him to the ballot?
  6. What other legal challenges do you believe some states could throw at Trump as he attempts to push his 2024 Presidential election?
  7. Do you honestly feel that Trump would do good in the White House again, especially after Biden left so many people hanging with his policies?
  8. You’re the creator of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships. Tell us more about that, and why support for fellow officers is so important right now.
