TULSA, OK - Police in Tulsa announced the arrest of 18-year-old Christopher Atjun on Monday in connection with the shooting of four teenagers in East Tulsa on Saturday which resulted in two deaths. Tulsa police told reporters that the suspect is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.

Atjun, was arrested on Saturday morning when officers responded to a shooting at approximately 1:30 a.m. and found the four victims shot in what "appeared to be an ambush attack." Local news outlet Fox23 identified the two deceased victims as Arturo Degollado Jr. and Jett Brummett, both 18, who were pronounced dead on the scene. In a post to X, Tulsa PD said that another 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were transported to the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The department also said that several residents in nearby homes heard the gunfire and left their homes to investigate and rendered assistance to the wounded teens.

The surviving victims are expected to recover according to Fox23. A witness Quy Do, an employee at a family business nearby told reporters “It is somewhat shocking, yet not entirely surprising, as this apartment complex experiences incidents on average every week and a half.” He added, “Things just happen. Perhaps the entire community needs to take action, but that requires significant effort.”

Responding officers secured the crime scene to preserve evidence and numerous shell casings were recovered. The investigation is active and Detectives are asking for the public’s help and calling upon anyone with information pertaining to the case to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
