In a press release, the Office of the Camden County Prosecutor, Grace MacAulay, revealed that Diiorio is facing two counts of first-degree Attempted Murder, one count of first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and one count of third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
According to the release, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit became aware of the plot targeting the 53-year-old police officer on April 3 through an informant who was allegedly offered approximately $12,000 to kill the father and daughter.
A Camden County criminal complaint/affidavit of probable cause obtained by NBC10 Philadelphia stated that the plot was initially hatched when the informant met with Diiorio, referred to in communications as “D,” on March 31 at a Wawa convenience store in Runnemede, NJ. Over the next four days, the two allegedly conspired via several phone calls and text messages in which the affidavit states “D” told the informant that she wished her ex-boyfriend was dead.
"The informant advised that Diiorio has been adamant about killing her ex boyfriend," the probable cause statement said, according to NBC. As the murder-for-hire plot developed, a Camden County detective contacted the Philadelphia PD to confirm the target’s identity as an officer.
Prosecutors revealed in court documents that “D” met with the would-be assassin at a Dollar General location on April 4 under the agreement to pay $500 initially followed by monthly installments for the murders. She handed over the $500 and was promptly swarmed by the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team and taken into custody.NJ hairstylist tried to hire hitman she found on Tinder to kill ex-boyfriend police officer, his daughter https://t.co/Lru6QiyxBm pic.twitter.com/RbxYFk9OZm

The suspect was found with an unlabeled pill bottle in her possession containing alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, a drug used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. Diiorio is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility and is scheduled for a detention hearing on April 9 at Camden County Superior Court.
