The law enforcement veteran discusses the random shootings, which also resulted in the injury of a police officer.
Police are looking for answers in Allendale County, South Carolina.
Over the past four days, three shootings have taken place, resulting in the death of a 14-year old girl, as well as injuries to an 11-year old child and a local police officer. The officer was actually shot in the line of duty while responding to one of the incidents.
As a result, the State Law Enforcement Division is investigating, though little information is available as to how the shootings are connected.
The small county has been shaken up by the events, and Allendale police recently asked for any clues and leads from residents on its Facebook account. “We cannot, as a community, accept or condone violence as a part of our culture,” they noted. “The most innocent in our communities are being hurt and lost to violence they don’t have a hand in. This is not acceptable.”
One person who agrees with this is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships.
His knowledge in all things law and order make him an ideal guest for this subject. Welcome, Michael!
