AVON, CT- This suburban Hartford community is known for being home primarily to upper-middle-class residents. Now, it is becoming known for being the home to unhinged leftist wackjobs. And Law Enforcement Today is proud to make this nitwit famous.
WFSB-3 in Hartford reports that a very “mature” 40-year-old, Steven Lowell Weinberger, is accused of using a Sharpie-type marker to draw a swastika on the driver’s side door of a Tesla on March 26 as it was parked in a parking lot at 15 West Avon Rd.
An Avon man has been arrested for allegedly drawing a swastika on a Tesla car. “While speaking with Officers, Weinberger admitted to drawing the swastika as he was upset with the current political climate in the country,” police said.

Weinberger is apparently unaware that Tesla has a robust camera system that records whether or not cars are being driven. Then again, unhinged liberals are probably the most oblivious people out there. Since they’ve been told by the media and crazy leftist politicians that Elon Musk is a “nazi,” they’ve decided to take it out on Tesla and Tesla owners, the vast majority who probably vote the exact same way they do.
Authorities say the Tesla owners weren’t present when Wienberger committed his dastardly deed; however, police reviewed the security footage and found the suspect driving a white sedan and subsequently identified .
“While speaking with officers, Weinberger admitted to drawing the swastika as he was upset with the current political climate in the country,” police said. He also told police he didn’t know the owner of the Tesla.
Weinberger was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was released on a $25,000 surety bond with a court date of April 30.
The Avon incident was one of scores of attacks on Teslas, Tesla dealerships, and Tesla charging stations that have taken place since Tesla founder Elon Musk began working with the Trump administration at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is working on rooting out waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.
Those efforts have enraged Democrats and their anti-Trump cult, who have never come across government waste that they don’t like.
“In some cases, Teslas have been firebombed and shot [at] with rifles, and in other cases Tesla charging stations have been firebombed with Molotov cocktails,” retired FBI Special Agent Kenneth Gray said.
He noted that the spate of violence against Tesla doesn’t appear to be gaining the support the radical leftists were hoping for.
“He has switched from being a darling of the left to now being the enemy of the left. And so his company is being attacked, even though the individual cars are being owned by people who are probably on the left for the most part,” he continued.
Indeed, the Musk-inspired Tesla is manufactured in the United States and has long been hailed by the environmental left for lowering so-called “greenhouse gases.” The push for electric vehicles accelerated under Biden, with the administration issuing executive orders to mandate a gradual switch to all-electric vehicles being sold in the US.
When President Trump took office, he canceled that mandate, much to the chagrin of environmentalist wackos. Now, they’re attacking the very man who led the move to electric vehicles, all due to their obsessive hatred for anything Trump.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said recently that the Department of Justice is treating all vandalism on Tesla properties, Tesla vehicles, and Tesla owners as acts of domestic terrorism and plans to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
If convicted of domestic terrorism, suspects could be sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison. Hopefully, the DOJ will make an example out of Weinberger.
By the looks of him, he wouldn’t last too long.
