But now, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and his House Judiciary Committee are finally moving forward with their investigation.<\/p><p>Per this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/rep-jordan-subpoenas-fbi-director-wray-says-undercover-agent-developed-plan-to-spy-on-catholics_5184643.html?utm_source=newsnoe&amp;src_src=newsnoe&amp;utm_campaign=breaking-2023-04-11-one&amp;src_cmp=breaking-2023-04-11-one&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;est=ws3VFw%2Bx2lc1ZPGXJoPPZrk6%2BtIO9PxffFrxk7kVF2OeV5NDwxxdZfCOXcZDbk2D\">report from The Epoch Times,<\/a>\u00a0the chair of the Committee recently subpoenaed FBI Director Wray, just months after an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/fbi-disavows-internal-memo-warning-against-radical-traditionalist-catholic-ideology_5046779.html\">internal memo<\/a>\u00a0revealed that they were ready to spy on Catholic parishes in an effort to track down \u201cviolent extremists\u201d in places of worship.<\/p><p>Despite the bureau stating that it wasn\u2019t taking part in any actions against Catholics, Jordan\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/wray-subpoena-cover-letter.pdf\">revealed in a recent letter<\/a>\u00a0that, per the notes from an undercover agent, the FBI was going to move forward on the actions suggested by the memo.<\/p><p>\u201cBased on the limited information produced by the FBI to the Committee, we now know that the FBI relied on at least one undercover agent to produce its analysis, and that the FBI proposed that its agents engage in outreach to Catholic parishes to develop sources among the clergy and church leadership to inform on Americans practicing their faith,\u201d Jordan noted in his letter.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cThis shocking information reinforces our need for all responsive documents, and the Committee is issuing a subpoena to you to compel your full cooperation.\u201d<\/p><p>The FBI hasn\u2019t yet responded to the subpoena, but this does leave some rather interesting questions on the bureau\u2019s actions. With us now to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt.
