So, they called upon Attorney General Merrick Garland to provide them. However, his straightforward \u2013 and almost scripted \u2013 response has just left more questions.<\/p><p>In his opening statement, Garland noted that \u201cthe Justice Department works for the American people\u201d and that \u201cI am not the President\u2019s lawyer.\u201d He would later go on to explain that the Justice Department\u2019s role is to \u201cpursue justice, without fear or favor,\u201d and not to \u201cdo what is politically convenient,\u201d despite several pieces of evidence noting otherwise.<\/p><p>He also noted that the Department doesn\u2019t\u00a0\u201ctake orders from the President, from Congress, or from anyone else about who or what to criminally investigate.\u201d<\/p><p>But House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, along with several others, wasn\u2019t convinced. \u201cThe fix is in. Even with the face-saving indictment last week of Hunter Biden, everyone knows the fix is in.\u201d<\/p><p>That said, Garland didn\u2019t provide any additional answers, leaving just as much lingering doubt surrounding Hunter Biden, and the special treatment he\u2019s getting as he faces his gun charges.<\/p><p>Joining us now to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt.
