But there\u2019s also another group of heroes that don\u2019t earn enough respect in the world \u2013 police dogs.<\/p><p>One made headlines earlier this week following the capture of Danilo Cavalcante earlier this week. After the convicted murderer from Brazil made his escape from a Pennsylvania jail last week, hundreds of officers went on a manhunt for him.<\/p><p>Cavalcante was trying to use a storm to cover up for his getaway, with a rifle in his possession. However, when police caught on to him and he was trying to get away, a police dog bit him, preventing him from hurting anyone as he was taken into custody.<\/p><p><br \/>Though Cavalcante was reportedly \u201cdefiant and still resisting arrest,\u201d the dog \u2013 along with their fellow officers \u2013 stopped him before he could hurt anyone else. Cavalcante is currently awaiting transport to a prison where he will serve a life sentence for murder \u2013 and unable to escape this time.<\/p><p>Joining us now to discuss the police dog\u2019s brave actions is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt.
